A bit about me

How I plan my trips

When I was young, I was a Navy brat and got to experience the love of travel at an early age. Being stationed around the world gave me an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of many.

When I got to see Walt Disney World for the first time, I told my mum that I wanted to work there. How awesome for me that I followed my dreams and worked for the mouse in group sales. I learned many values of customers and the Disney values which keeps the company fresh and in the forefront of many other Fortune 500 companies. From group sales, I moved to Disney Cruise Line and worked in HR assisting our Cast Members while they are engaged with Disney Cruise Line. I have learned all about the cruise industry while still having fun! This past year, I retired from the company, but now I make magic for Guests with my knowledge of Disney with Wind Waves and Wands Vacations.

Have I travelled on other land packages? Have I done other cruise lines? Sure have! Working for Disney didn’t mean that’s all I did for fun! I have been on multiple cruises: Alaska, Australia, Hawaii, Caribbean, USA, Mexico, Canada and twice to South Africa…how lucky have I been?

Favourite Travel Destination: A cruise ship! Where I can do as much or as little as I want to do!
First Trip to Disney: 1977. There sure have been lots of changes to WDW since then!
Favourite Theme Park: This is a challenging choice! I love Epcot because of my love of the countries. But, it’s magic experiencing Magic Kingdom through the eyes of my grandchild.
Favourite Resort: Yacht and Beach Club. I love the fact that I can walk to Epcot. And the pool is awesome!
Favourite Disney Attraction: I love Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger’s Spin in Magic Kingdom. To me, beating my husband beside me is awesome! I guess I’m just competitive. 🤣
Favourite Disney Restaurant: At Disney, it’s Be Our Guest (so pretty in there); but on the ship - it’s definitely Palo!
Bucket List Trip: Asia - now with the newest ship going to be stationed in Singapore, I hope that will be replaced by another bucket list one day! There’s always room in my bucket to travel!
Favourite Vacation Memory: Walking up to the Disney Dream with my granddaughter having her say “Look, Nana! We are here!”
