A Dream 30 Years in the Making: Our Christmas Vow Renewal on the Disney Treasure
- Date
After 30 years of marriage, I finally experienced the wedding moment I had always dreamed of during a Christmas vow renewal aboard the Disney Treasure. From thoughtful planning to professional photography, every detail was handled with care, turning this vow renewal into a beautiful, unforgettable celebration of love and dreams fulfilled.
After 30 years of marriage, I finally had my wedding dress moment!
Some people may hesitate to consider a vow renewal a wedding — but I can honestly say, this absolutely felt like the wedding I never had all those years ago. And what better place to experience it than aboard Disney’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure, during the magic of Christmas?

The Wedding We Never Had — Until Now
Thirty years ago, my husband and I were married in Las Vegas. It was just the two of us. No formal dress. No guests. No fanfare. And while it was special in its own way and we truly enjoyed ourselves, there was always a quiet longing — that little dream many young girls hold — to have that moment.
The dress. The setting. The people you love surrounding you.
Fast forward three decades, and that dream finally became a reality.
Setting Sail Toward Something Truly Special
On December 13th, 2025, we boarded the Disney Treasure for a Christmas sailing that would become so much more than just a cruise. Our vow renewal took place on a port day while docked in Grand Cayman, allowing our guests — and us — to be fully present and relaxed, soaking in every magical moment.
We were incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by 18 members of our Wind Waves and Wands Ohana, whose presence made the experience even more meaningful. Having that support, love, and shared joy turned the day into something we will treasure forever.

The Perfect Venue: The Treasure Atrium
We chose the Atrium as our venue, and it could not have been more perfect. Standing beneath the stunning Aladdin & Jasmine statue, symbolizing love, adventure, and believing in something bigger, felt incredibly fitting for our journey together.
With the ship beautifully dressed for Christmas, the atmosphere was elegant, warm, and undeniably magical. It felt intimate yet grand — exactly how a vow renewal should feel.

Thoughtfully Planned, Beautifully Executed
From start to finish, the planning and execution were handled with professionalism, care, and genuine attention to detail. Every step felt seamless, allowing us to focus on what truly mattered — celebrating our love and the life we’ve built together. We also had a professional photographer, who expertly captured the emotion, joy, and beauty of the day. These photos aren’t just images — they are memories frozen in time, proof that dreams don’t have expiration dates.

More Than a Renewal — A Celebration of Us
This wasn’t just about renewing vows. It was about honoring our journey.

Celebrating resilience, growth, laughter, and love.
And yes — it was finally about that wedding dress moment I had dreamed of for so long. If you’ve ever wondered whether a vow renewal can feel like a wedding, let me reassure you: it absolutely can. Sometimes, the second celebration isn’t a replacement — it’s the fulfillment of a dream patiently waiting its turn.
And doing it aboard the Disney Treasure, surrounded by Christmas magic and our Wind Waves and Wands Ohana, made it truly unforgettable.
Because love stories don’t end — they evolve. And sometimes, they get their fairy-tale moment exactly when they’re meant to.
