Just back from an unforgettable journey through South America, I’m still buzzing from the energy, color, and culture of this incredible continent. Over 18 days, we explored four vibrant Latin American countries—each offering its own unique charm. This wasn’t just a bucket-list adventure; it was also a deep dive into the kinds of authentic, awe-inspiring experiences we love to curate for our clients. From iconic landmarks to hidden gems, every day brought new discoveries and unforgettable moments that we can’t wait to share.
Our South American adventure kicked off on the vibrant eastern coast, in Lima—the bustling capital of Peru. We spent two nights in the stylish Miraflores district, where coastal views meet urban charm. From exploring lively local markets and iconic city landmarks to sipping the famous Pisco Sour, every moment offered a taste of Peru’s rich culture. In our free time, we stumbled upon a whimsical cat-filled park, browsed one of Lima’s trendiest shopping centers, and even crossed paths with a familiar face—Paddington Bear, whose roots trace back to deepest, darkest Peru!
Next, we ascended into the heart of the Andes and arrived in Cusco—a city steeped in history and surrounded by the remnants of the ancient Incan empire. We explored breathtaking archaeological sites, from the fortress of Ollantaytambo to the lesser-known (but equally fascinating) Chinchero, all building up to the crown jewel: the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. After an exhilarating day at the citadel, we unwound in the enchanting town of Aguas Calientes, where we sampled local flavors—including the adventurous but delicious alpaca steak. Continuing our journey south aboard the luxurious PeruRail train from Cusco to Puno, we were treated to gourmet cuisine, panoramic views of the high-altitude landscapes, and even a high-fashion alpaca-wear showcas, all while gliding along at over 4,000 meters above sea level.

Though our time in Bolivia was brief, it was packed with unforgettable highlights. We began with the fascinating floating islands of Uros on Lake Titicaca—handcrafted from reeds and home to an ancient way of life. Afterwards, we journeyed to the picturesque lakeside town of Copacabana before heading into the vibrant chaos of La Paz. There, we soared above the city on the world’s longest and highest cable car system, taking in spectacular views from above. And for a delightfully unexpected twist, we even spotted Transformers-themed homes—yes, really! Bolivia may have been a whirlwind, but it absolutely left its mark.
Our time in Buenos Aires reached its peak during an unforgettable evening at a traditional tango show. Passionate, dramatic, and deeply moving, the performance captured the soul of Argentina. The emotional finale—where the entire cast sang Don't Cry for Me Argentina—left even the most composed among us with misty eyes. We followed in the footsteps of Eva Perón, visiting her resting place and standing beneath the very balcony where she once addressed a nation—powerful moments steeped in history. But nothing could have prepared me for the other wonder Argentina had to offer - the breathtaking majesty of Iguazú Falls. With water thundering down at a staggering 1,800 cubic meters per second—enough to fill 36 Olympic swimming pools every minute—the sheer force of nature was overwhelming. Surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant wildlife, this natural wonder was, without question, the highlight of my journey.

Brazil was filled with unforgettable moments, from the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain to the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer, each offering sweeping views of Rio's stunning skyline and coastline. But the perfect conclusion to our whirlwind adventure was a visit to the chic coastal town of Búzios, located about 100 miles north of Rio de Janeiro. This serene, upscale destination was the ideal place to unwind. With its crystal-clear waters, charming streets, and the most beautiful boutique hotel, we finally had the chance to relax and soak in the tranquility—an oasis after the excitement of the previous 14 days.
This trip was a reminder of the world’s boundless beauty and the unforgettable experiences waiting just beyond the horizon. Whether you're dreaming of exploring ancient ruins, soaking in vibrant city culture, or relaxing in paradise, South America offers it all. If this journey has inspired your next adventure, we’re here to help you create your own once-in-a-lifetime experience.
