I grew up during what some would call the “Disney renaissance” era of movies, so many of my childhood memories and Disney nostalgia comes from watching movies like The Little Mermaid and the Lion King on repeat as a kid. My first Disney World encounter was in 2002 when my parents took me and my sisters on the “ultimate Disney trip” that included visits to the 4 parks, 1 water park and a hotel stay on Disney property. That trip formed some core memories for me, and to this day I can still remember the smell of the water on many of the boat ride attractions (if you know, you know ��).

My parents instilled in me a love of travel, which is something I want to pass on to my two daughters as well. I have travelled to many parts of the US and Canada, as well as Europe and all over the Caribbean. I even spent a short time living on the small island of Dominica, which many Disney fans may recognize in the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie as the island where Jack Sparrow is held captive and made a chief by the locals.

For me, travelling soothes the soul. The culture experiences, life lessons learned and memories shared with your loved ones are priceless.
