Elegant, tropical and exotic with all the best perks and amenities! Loews Royal Pacific is our go to resort for a stay at Universal Orlando!

Loews Royal Pacific is an amazing location to stay and take in all that Universal Orlando has to offer. Tropical and elegant with convenient proximity to the theme parks and City Walk, this resort checks all the right boxes for a perfect Universal Stay! Royal Pacific is a premium resort themed as a pacific islands luxury retreat, rich with tropical flowers and refined sophisticated style.

Let’s start with the biggest benefit of booking your stay at Loews Royal Pacific, the perks! There are many added benefits to staying at one of Universal's Premium resorts. The biggest advantage is that booking a stay here also gets you express passes for the Universal theme parks for each day of your stay. The value of this can’t be overstated. Depending on the time of year, purchasing the express passes for Universal can easily cost $200 USD or more per person per day. For a family of four the value of this easily surpasses the cost of staying at this gorgeous hotel. For a single night stay you will have access to the express pass on both check in and check out day. We loved the express pass! We found it was easy to use with no advanced planing or stratizing needed and it really minimized the time we spent standing in lines.

Another huge benefit of staying here is the easy access to the parks and City Walk. The boat from Royal Pacific drops you off right in City Walk where you are just a hop, skip and a jump from the entrance to both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. The boat takes less than ten minutes and is a very relaxed way to get to and from the parks. There is also a lovely walking path that winds its way along the river and takes you directly to City Walk. Walking will take a bit longer but if you aren’t in a rush it’s a beautiful path and is never crowded. Either way will give you quick access to not only the parks but all the dining and shopping of City Walk.

If you are staying at Royal Pacific I highly encourage you to build a resort day into your plans. The pool is fantastic with a sandy beach area and a huge ship themed play area, complete with water cannons! My kiddos had an absolute blast spending all day by the pool. The pool bar has wait staff that will deliver tasty eats and frosty drinks right to your lounge chair. We loved the fruit smoothies and the giant tray of nachos! Ordering food and drinks couldn't be easier. There is a barcode on the lounge chairs that you can scan to see the menu and order and it will be delivered right to you.

Our latest stay here we opted for a Club Level room. These rooms are spacious with wonderful views. Staying in Club Level also gets you access to the lounge which we found to be an amazing add on to our stay at Royal Pacific. We saved so much money on in park dining by eating breakfast and dinner in the Club Level lounge. In addition to breakfast in the morning and an evening appetizer buffet, they had snacks throughout the day, evening cocktails and a dessert buffet at night. The food and drink options were simple but reliable and my kids loved strutting into the lounge and finding a snack or a drink. We found choosing a Club Level room to be well worth the cost and budget friendly when we considered what we normally spend on meals.

Travelling to Volcano Bay was the one way that we felt let down by Royal Pacific. To get to Volcano Bay from Royal Pacific you have to take a bus. We were heading to the waterpark for mid-day and we waited a long time for a bus. We watched 3 buses come and go from Aventura Hotel to Volcano Bay before giving up and walking across the street to take the bus from that hotel. Maybe it was just our bad luck that day but it was a kink in an otherwise perfect stay.

Regardless of the less than perfect bus situation we came away happy and with wonderful memories. Royal Pacific is our go to resort when staying at Universal and it never disappoints!
