A bit about me
How I plan my trips
Motion, the act or process of moving or being moved. Looking back, my life could be described as just that, always in motion. From a young age travel has been a constant in my life thanks to my parents. I have been to nearly every province, territory, and state in North America and all over the Caribbean and South America as well. North, South, East, West, my family crest should be a compass and a map. Having relatives all over the continent helps making excuses to travel quite easy.
As part of the roller coaster ride warrior generation, I have a soft spot for the quintessential North American theme park. I have enjoyed the finest parks from all over, including Universal Parks, Six Flags, Cedar Fair parks, Darien Lake, Busch Gardens, Canada's Wonderland and obviously Disney and Seaworld on both coasts. I just found out about the Formula Rossa roller coaster in Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi which is the fastest coaster on the planet reaching speeds of 240 km/hr!?!?! I guess I'll have to add another stop to my never-ending travel list.
However, with the benefit of age comes wisdom and the appreciation of slowing down and taking in all the scenery around us. It usually involves relaxing on the beach, relaxing by the pool, relaxing by the buffet, and relaxing in the sun, which explains my love of cruising. I have been fortunate to cruise in Alaska and all around the Caribbean and really like the ability to see several countries all in one trip which only cruising offers. My wife and I are avid divers and have had so much fun diving the crystal-clear warm waters of the Caribbean and the cloudy freezing cold waters of Vancouver B.C.
My wife Kelly is also a travel agent with Wind Waves Wands and she's the expert in all things Disney, Universal and the Orlando theme parks as well as all-inclusives. That leaves cruising as my focus. We have been able to do multiple Disney trips with our young daughters all before our youngest's 2nd birthday. So, we know a little bit about travelling with small children. Some people (not me) would even say we were experts on all the ins and outs of travel with kids. Without fail, every time we're at Disney, people will commend us on taking on such a herculean task with such silly, crazy, awesome kids. We know all the tips and tricks needed for Florida/Caribbean travel for families.
Sometimes in a weak moment I wonder if all the effort, money, time, and headaches are worth it to travel. Then randomly, one of my kids will say to me "Daddy, do you remember when we were on our Disney cruise and we met Pluto and he signed my autograph book but it was hard for him to see because his nose is so big? And the 3rd day of our last trip when we were at Ohana having breakfast and Pluto did the same thing? It was so funny and I hope we can go again." After a short cry, I realise yes, it all has been worth it for the memories that they'll hold onto forever. Don't underestimate your young kid's ability to remember events from their childhood. Just make sure you take lots of pictures so you'll be able to remember too!
At the end of the day all that matters is time spent together with friends and family. Travel memories are what we remember most from our childhood and will last long into the future. Let us help you create those memories together!
